Coach Jimmy Hall
I was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado. I grew up playing all sports but my main love was basketball. I spent a few years in Los Angeles doing volunteer service then moved to Utah for a few years. I moved to Arizona in !2006 to help start a business. I have two amazing kids!
While in College I started a sales job that I happened to be good at. With my job I sat around a lot and ate a lot of fast food. I quickly went from 145lbs to 235lbs. In late 2011 I started having a bunch of health issues. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and insulin resistance syndrome. My doctor gave be two choices, start working out and eating right, or start on medications and I would most likely be a diabetic within a couple years. The next day I woke up early, went running and ate salads. I hated it! I hated running, but I wanted to get healthy so I kept doing it.
I started CrossFit in January of 2012 and was instantly hooked! I loved how different it was every day and I loved getting to lift weights. Only a few months of doing CrossFit I went back to the doctors and all my blood markers were healthy. After that I knew I wanted to help other people change their lives through CrossFit the way mine was. I started studying like crazy and a year later I got my Level 1.
I started CrossFit Unwavering in August of 2014 and have loved every minute of it!

About me:I'm from Columbus, OH (AKA – God’s Country), but have lived all around the world because of the AF.
I'm a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan!! Saturdays during College Football season you’ll only find me hanging with my family watching the Buckeyes. Other than that, I love training and coaching folks.
My CrossFit Journey:It began in 2009 at CrossFit Omaha in Nebraska. I was at the point where my uniform bearly fit me and I was getting winded walking up a flight a of stairs. I walked in CrossFit Omaha and told owner, Ricky Frasto not to let me leave until I signed up. I loved every second of it ever since. I do CrossFit to personally see improvements in my fitness and to help expand this great community. When the call went out in 2011 for volunteers to begin a Functional Fitness-based program for Offutt AFB, I jumped at the chance to help. What we started became CrossFit Team Offutt Tactical Fitness. This allowed me to get my CrossFit Level One cert. I was the head trainer for TOTF until 2014 when I got orders to Luke AFB, AZ.
When I first got to Luke, my biggest concern was finding a gym for my daughter, Emily to continue her new CrossFit experience. After bouncing around a few places our first year, I got lucky and contacted Jimmy and came out to CrossFit Unwavering. It was the best decision I could have made. Not only does my daughter love working out here, but I now have the opportunity to get back to what I love doing, helping people improve their fitness on a daily basis.

I was born and raised in Illinois, I grew up in St. Charles, a suburb of Chicago. After college, my boyfriend and I decided to make the move out to Arizona to begin our careers! We have a dog and a cat that are our fur babies!
I grew up interested in a lot of sports, especially soccer and volleyball. Throughout high school my love for volleyball grew and I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to play volleyball at Ball State University in Indiana. After college I was really missing competition and at a loss for what to do for exercise. My boyfriend gifted me a Crossfit membership so I decided to try it out while student teaching. I LOVED it and was immediately interested in learning more.
However, I went back to my first love of volleyball and stopped doing crossfit. Once we moved to Arizona I knew I wanted to give it a try again so I convinced my boyfriend to give Crossfit Unwavering a try. We felt so welcomed to the family and have learned so much the coaches the last two years! I’m so excited to lead our Unwavering Kids program!

I was born and raised here in Arizona! My husband and I have four fur babies, two English Bulldogs and two cats. I love any extreme sport and want to try everything twice. I'm super competitive and love a good challenge! But my favorite things in life are traveling and CrossFit!
I started Crossfit in April of 2011. Before that day, I was on my way to a healthy lifestyle. Trading in cigarettes and laziness for an attempt at exercise and becoming fit. I was running, a lot, and hating every minute of it.
During my "running" years, I must have done 10 or so 1/2 marathons and multiple shorter runs and fun runs. But, I never enjoyed it. That was when a friend mentioned CrossFit.
She took me to a class, and I was hooked.
After two years of CrossFit, I decided I wanted more. So, I got my Level 1 Certification and began shadowing coaches. That was when CrossFit Unwavering opened right near my home.
I dropped in to check it out and was blown away by the community and the owner, Jimmy Hall. It took me only a few short weeks to leave my box of 3 years to join Unwavering. I just knew it was where I belonged. Joining Unwavering was the best decision I've ever made!
I came to Unwavering in October 2014 and began coaching in January 2015. I've continued my CrossFit education with my L2 Certification and look forward to adding more.

I had the privilege of growing up overseas, in Hong Kong. I moved to Flagstaff, AZ in high school (yes, major culture shock). I graduated from a performing arts high school. I began my freshman year of college at NAU, spent some time at ASU and graduated from NAU. I have an associates in Dance and a Bachelors in Sociology. I also have my EMT through EMCC and I am currently in school to become an RN. My hobbies include kayaking, running, cooking and of course, Crossfit.
My Crossfit Journey:
Before I had kids I would spend hours at an LA fitness followed by taking part in some fad diet. I thought I was healthy. Boy, was I wrong. One day, while I was pregnant with my daughter my husband showed me a video of the game's athletes and I was in awe. We made a pact that once I could work out again we would try this 'Crossfit thing.' So, in January 2012 we showed up at Crossfit Flagstaff and signed up with no knowledge of what we were doing. It took me 5 seconds to realize that this was where my heart was. I fell absolutely in love with the sport and the people in it. In November 2013 we left Flagstaff and moved down here. I had a friend introduce me to Crossfit Fury in Goodyear. Within a month I was back in full force and even working at Crossfit Fury. I stayed there for 16 months and was blessed to be able to learn so much from their competitive coaches. I did my first comp in 2015.
I was even lucky enough to meet Coach Stephanie there. My favorite memory of Stephanie is one day after a WOD she told me she 'wasn't done yet' and she was going to do extra rounds. She convinced me to do it with her but at the men's weight this time! We both ended up leaving Fury and running into each other awhile later. She mentioned this small but awesome gym she was coaching at and how I should try it out. So it took me a few months, but I finally did and she was right. Unwavering truly is a special place.
"In Crossfit, no one finishes alone." This is why I love crossfit and this is why I love coaching. Coaching is about making sure we are all being safe and smart, but most of all it is about support and encouragement.
